Free Hot Water!
Zero EnergyTM water heating system uses waste heat from your air conditioning system to heat water.
This unique heat recovery unit utilizes the waste heat from air conditioning systems to heat water. But unlike all other heat recovery units, it has no pump and is located inside. It requires no electrical input or maintenance.
Zero Energy® saves an average of 60 to 90% of normal water heating costs, which are a significant part of any power bill for commercial or residential users of hot water. This compares favorably to all other water heating systems:
-Tankless sytems yield only an 8 1/2% savings, and have at least the same or higher installation costs.
-Solar systems can provide good savings (50 to 70%), but cost over three times as much to install. Solar also requires unsightly panels on the roof, with pipes through the building structure which can cause leaks. Plus they have a pump that draws electrical current and its costs, and require ongoing maintenance.
Zero Energy® has a super-quick average payback period - only 1 to 4 years, depending on application. This far exceeds tankless (12 to 20 years), solar (7 to 20 years), heat pump systems and pumped heat recovery systems.
It also reduces greenhouse gas emissions by over 4 tons per year, even for an average residential-sized unit - far more for commercial units. It is the "greenest" water heating system on the market.
How it Works
Zero EnergyTM harnesses two well-known principles of physics in a new and unique manner: the thermo-siphon effect - heat rises - and the coriolus effect - the motion of fluids, which spin to the right in the Northern Hemisphere.
The thermo-siphon effect causes heated water to flow out of the Zero Energy heater into the system where it is needed - without needing a pump or electricity.
The Coriolus Effect circulates the water in the heater, exposing it to the heating elements - without needing a pump or electricity.
The illustration on the left explains how we put these two forces to work to power a water heating system that uses no electrical power, requires no pumps, and no maintenance.
